BIG Membership System Overview

The BIG Membership System offers site users a one-time registration process for access to site features - primarily the Innovation Clubs. We ask for personal information (name, address, email, etc.) in order to identify and contact you as well as basic demographic data (age, gender, income, etc.) for use in determining eligibility for specific Innovation Clubs.

After completing the first two steps of the registration process, a Verification Email will be sent to the email address provided. This step assures that no one can create an account using your email account without your knowledge.

Clicking on the link contained in the Verification Email and launching the associated webpage will activate your account.

Once, activated, you will be forwarded to your Membership Profile page where you can review and edit your profile, access any Innovation Clubs for which you have been approved, and request access to additional Innovation Clubs.

Log in Information

Once your account is activated, you can use your username and password to access the Member Profile page or any Innovation Clubs for which you are a member.

Remember Me

For your convenience, BIG can save your username and password on the computer you are using, so you don't have to log in every time you return to this website.

When you select the "Remember Me" checkbox, your browser will store this in a persistent cookie on the computer's hard drive. This means your username and password will be saved until you sign out -- even if you disconnect from the Internet, close your browser, or turn off your computer. Upon your return to the BIG website, you will not be prompted to log in when accessing your clubs.

Note: If you are using a public or shared computer... If you are using a shared computer (in a library, Internet cafe, school, or other public area) you should NOT choose the "remember me" option because it will enable other users of the computer to access your information. And, as an added safety measure, you should always "Sign Out" prior to exiting BIG website.

Forgotten Passwords

If you have forgotten or misplaced your password, click on the "Forgot your Password?" link at the log in prompt. You will be asked to supply your email address and click the submit button.

We will send a new password to the account email address. Use this password with your username to login.

After logging in with this new password and your username, you can change your password using the Edit Profile link from the Membership Profile page.

We recommend that you record this password in a secure location for future reference.

Innovation Club Access Requests

Innovation Clubs are private communities consisting of a distinct group of users who share similar characteristics. Each Club has unique requirements for membership based on the objectives of the sponsoring client.

Clubs are often constituted by exclusive invitation, but BIG website members may request access by completing an Access Request Survey. Active or future Clubs are listed on the Member Profile page. To request membership in any available Club, click on the link and provide the information requested on the survey. Your responses will be reviewed to determine your eligibility for the specific club. Only members who meet defined criteria will be invited to participate.
